On Easter Sunday Jesus has risen, he has risen and he has defeated death. The light that has come to enlighten the world is still alive.

Easter Sunday, or Resurrection Sunday, is the celebration of the glorious resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead and marks the end of Holy Week, the end of Lent, the last day of the Easter Triduum (Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday), and is the beginning of the Easter season of the liturgical year.

Easter Sunday.

Easter Sunday, or Easter Sunday, is the day of broken chains, the day when all ties were broken and the light came with strength to illuminate and dispel all darkness.

This is the day when love has conquered death and hope is born in the hearts of all Christians. It represents the fulfillment of God´s promises to humanity, therefore, Easter Sunday is the most important feast in the Christian calendar.

Jesus has risen, He lives and is with us to prove that we can really be saved from the sin that leads to death.

No one deserves salvation by his own merits, and we could never achieve it by our own strength. But Jesus is risen and his covenant remains forever giving us the strength to go on.

If Christ had not risen from the dead, hope would have remained buried with Him in the tomb. But He is not dead, He lives forever and therefore we have hope in His promises.

Sin condemns us to eternal judgment and endless torture (Matthew 13:41-42; Revelation 14:11). And sin without mercy enslaves us to death (Romans 6: 16-20, Ephesians 2:1) But Christ rises with power on this and every Easter Sunday to cancel our debt by the power of His cross and resurrection.

Easter Sunday: Triumph of good over evil.

Today, Easter Sunday, Easter Sunday, is the day when the whole of Heaven was shaken, when the angels came down to the world and announced that the glorious light was still alive and present to illuminate our path of life. Jesus has risen from the shadows and defeated death.

The resurrection of Jesus marks the triumph of good over evil, sin, and death. It is the ultimate proof for those who trust in God and accept Christ that they will rise from the dead on the final day.

Jesus rose to show that God spread his love to all nations, not only to Israel, but from Asia, Africa and America, to the whole world. His death not only reconciles us with God, but it reconciles us with each other through hope and love.

The Resurrection of Jesus is powerful enough to sustain faith, hope and love for all people in all corners of the world.

Happy Easter!

Pray the Easter Sunday Prayer to meditate on the triumphal return of our Lord over the world of darkness.
