Serenity prayer for Tuesday.
Thank you, Father of Goodness, for allowing me to come to this day breathing the breath of your Spirit. Through this serenity prayer, may I find a way to open my thoughts and my heart and welcome the Blessed Virgin Mary, as my mother and friend. She is my faithful companion. I feel safe in her arms and in her motherly protection. Amen. (This daily prayer Tuesday belongs to our serenity prayer devotional of 2020)
Daily prayer for Tuesday, September 22, 2020.
We dispose our heart to God´s love and raise our eyes to Heaven, seeking the serenity prayer that our soul needs for this Tuesday, September 22, 2020
Lord, I thank you because with each sunrise, I feel your presence that makes me feel valuable and full of life, motivated to fight and to give my best. I want you to help me to deepen my inner life, to immerse myself in my conscience and to know me better in order to correct myself in the line of your love. Help me to be more understanding and compassionate.
Through this daily prayer, teach me to love and forgive without giving space to rancor, to serve with humility as your Holy Mother Mary. What a joy it is to have the Virgin Mary as the best example of a disciple. She teaches me to be docile to your Word, to respect it and to meditate on it in my heart. Mary is the great servant, your faithful handmaid who always let herself be guided by your promises. Like her, I want to live in hope, growing in generosity.
Thank you, beloved Father, for giving me Mary as my Mother, thank you for all the blessings you give me through her and for placing her as the best model to follow. In this daily prayer I want her to wrap me in her mantle of love and make me feel loved. May I never feel abandoned in her motherly arms.
O God of love, I trust that you will place me under the care of the Blessed Virgin to live led by the hope and peace of her motherly love. May I today and always act with love and compassion and do you will, so that you may count me among the great family of your people.
In this serenity prayer, Sacred Heart of Jesus, in You, I trust my routine, I trust You with my attitudes and my answers. I want to give the best of myself, so that others may know that, through my actions, You live within me. I love You. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Now, in this daily prayer, let us ask for the loving and motherly intercession of Mary Most Holy and tell her with all our hearts:
Holy Virgin Mary, be my support and my guide.
Holy Virgin Mary, be the salvation of my soul.
Reflection for today, Tuesday, September 22, 2020.
In this daily prayer for Tuesday, let us reflect on the words of the Pope Francis to get serenity.
"To be holy, does not require being a bishop, a priest or a religious. We are frequently tempted to think that holiness is only for those who can withdraw from ordinary affairs to spend much time in prayer. That is not the case. We are all called to be holy by living our lives with love and by bearing witness in everything we do, wherever we find ourselves. Are you called to the consecrated life? Be holy by living out your commitment with joy. Are you married? Be holy by loving and caring for your husband or wife, as Christ does for the Church. Do you work for a living? Be holy by labouring with integrity and skill in the service of your brothers and sisters. Are you a parent or grandparent? Be holy by patiently teaching the little ones how to follow Jesus. Are you in a position of authority? Be holy by working for the common good and renouncing personal gain". (Pope Francis Gaudete et exsultate, I.14.)
