The Spirit of the Lord wants to dwell in your heart, he wants to find rest in all your interior. We open ourselves to that experience of love to cover ourselves with power. Daily Prayer for May 2, 2020.
Lord God, since I met You and opened myself to You, Your goodness and compassion have entered my life to transform my anguish and afflictions into blessings, my sorrows and laments into songs of joy. Because only your grace renews, gives life, and fills the hearts that have been set apart and empty because of the sorrows of the world.
Thank you, good Father, because although there have been crises, epidemics, confinements, family complications, You have been present, you walk beside me guiding me with your wisdom and protecting me with your angels at every moment.
I feel your Presence now that I have become a little silent. Now that the world moves slower and there is no longer the hustle and bustle of daily stress, I can meet you in a better way. How much I needed to be silenced.
You are always faithful and loving and you know why things happen, even if I sometimes don´t understand. I know that you have set your sights on my worries. You know that I have some anguish and anxiety lurks like a lion about to devour me.
I fear nothing, nothing will make me turn back. You make my steps go for new conquests and that assures me of confidence wherever I go. Well, I do not lack your support.
When those anxious thoughts come to invade my mind, you encourage me with your comforting presence. When the frailties of my human condition make me uneasy, you sustain me with your unwavering love.
Without Your constant help, I would have already fallen into disgrace. I would have entered into depression and despair. O Lord, remind me that Your love is unwavering. Give me the strength to continue to persevere, trusting that I will lack nothing and that Your love for me will never run out
Come Holy Spirit, Spirit of power and fire, help me to keep moving in the direction of love and not to let me steal the peace, hope and freedom to live in the loving presence of the arms of God the Father.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, with you I will fear nothing, nothing will make me turn back, I will continue to advance towards the triumphs that God has kept for me in his faithful promises.
In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit,
