Daily prayer for September 12.
My God, thank You, because I know You will always be with me and will transform all my problems into true platforms that will catapult me towards the triumphs You have designed for me. Even in this time of crisis, I know I can count on your presence. Even if I suffer failures and setbacks, I know they are temporary and it is You, trying to bring out the best in me. Amen.
Reading for Saturday. Daily gospel
First Reading for daily Gospel: Reading from the book of 1 Corinthians 10:14-22.
Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry. I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say. The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we [being] many are one bread, [and] one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread. Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar? What say I then? That the idol is anything, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is anything? But I [say], that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord´s table, and of the table of devils. Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?"
Daily Psalm for Saturday.
Psalm 115(116):12-13,17-18.
"A thanksgiving sacrifice I make to you, O Lord." (R).
How can I repay the Lord for his goodness to me? The cup of salvation I will raise; I will call on the Lords name. (R).
A thanksgiving sacrifice I make; I will call on the Lords name. My vows to the Lord I will fulfil before all his people. (R).

Daily Gospel for September 12. Luke 6:43-49.
Daily Gospel reading for Saturday, September 12 (Building the house on the rock): "At that time, Jesus said to his disciples: "There is no sound tree that produces rotten fruit, nor again a rotten tree that produces sound fruit. For every tree can be told by its own fruit: people do not pick figs from thorns, nor gather grapes from brambles. A good man draws what is good from the store of goodness in his heart; a bad man draws what is bad from the store of badness. For a mans words flow out of what fills his heart. "Why do you call me, "Lord, Lord" and not do what I say? "Everyone who comes to me and listens to my words and acts on them, I will show you what he is like. He is like the man who when he built his house dug, and dug deep, and laid the foundations on rock; when the river was in flood it bore down on that house but could not shake it, it was so well-built. But the one who listens and does nothing is like the man who built his house on soil, with no foundations: as soon as the river bore down on it, it collapsed; and what a ruin that house became!".
Daily Gospel reflection by Pope Francis.
"The one who only speaks and does nothing is not a true Christian"
The reading of the daily Gospel, Jesus says, "Not everyone who says to me, «Lord, Lord,» will enter the kingdom of heaven. And he continues: On that day many will say, "Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name, and done not many miracles in your name? But to these he will answer: "I do not know them. Depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Why this opposition? Because they speak, they do, but they lack another attitude, which is precisely the basis, which is precisely the basis of speaking, of doing: they need to listen.
In fact Jesus continues: "Whoever listens to these words of mine and puts them into practice". Therefore, the speaking-doing binomial is not enough, it can even be misleading. The correct binomial is another: it is to listen and to do, to put into practice
From daily Gospel, we learn that, one who only speaks and does not do is not a true prophet, is not a true Christian. And in the end everything will fall apart, because it is not on the rock of God´s love, it is not founded on rock.
On the other hand, one who knows how to listen and after listening does, with the strength of another´s word, not his own, he remains firm as the rock: even if he is a humble person, who does not seem important, he is great. And how many of these great ones are there in the Church? How many great bishops, how many great priests, how many great faithful there are who know how to listen and who, after listening, do so.
Mother Teresa of Calcutta listened to the voice of the Lord: she did not speak and in silence she knew how to listen and therefore to act. She did a lot. And, like the house built on rock, neither she nor her work collapsed.
From her testimony we understand that the great ones know how to listen and after listening they do, because their trust and strength are on the rock of the love of Jesus Christ. (Daily Gospel reflection, Saint Martha, June 25, 2015)
Daily Prayer for Gospel.
O my Lord, Father and creator of all things. You are worthy of praise and admiration. Show us how to appreciate the wonders you place before our eyes each day. Every human life matters. We are precious in your eyes, for we are the image and likeness of your love. I want to ask you today to awaken those hardened hearts that do not know how to appreciate life; on the contrary, some wish to end it. Renew the desire for love of neighbor. Free the whole world from that spiritual blindness that does not allow it to see clearly the magnificence of your work. May we appreciate the precious gift of life, from conception to its natural end. I ask all this, in the Holy Name of Mary and in the Holy Name of Jesus, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. (Healing with prayer daily gospel)
The Pope´s daily quotation.
"What does it mean to evangelize? To give testimony with joy and simplicity of what we are and what we believe" Pope Francis.
Purpose for daily Gospel.
I will practice the virtue of charity by giving to a needy person that garment to which I am very attached, knowing that works are the fruit of love.
