Like Mary, we must heed this call" USCCB Daily Readings and the Daily Prayer for your life to get serenity and inner peace on Saturday of the 27th Week in Ordinary Time.
Entrance Antiphon.
(Cfr. Est 4:17): "Within your will, O Lord, all things are established, and there is none that can resist your will. For you, have made all things, the heaven and the earth, and all that is held within the circle of heaven; you are the Lord of all.
Collect Prayer.
Priestly prayer for Saturday 27th of Ordinary Time.
Almighty ever-living God, who in the abundance of your kindness surpass the merits and the desires of those who entreat you, pour out your mercy upon us to pardon what conscience dreads and to give what prayer does not dare to ask. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.

Serenity prayer for October 9.
Lord Jesus, help me to have moments of silence to learn to listen to your voice in my heart. I want to calm those agitated emotions, with which I sometimes get carried away and tend to hurt those I love the most. Teach me to practice patience with all that I do, with life, with others and with myself. O Mary, my Mother, watch over me and do not cease to watch over me. Amen.
Readings for Saturday.
Daily readings for gospel - First Reading for daily Gospel: Catholic Reading from the Book of Joel 4:12-21: "Apply the sickle, for the harvest is ripe."
"Let the nations rouse themselves and march to the Valley of Jehoshaphat, for there I shall sit in judgement on all the nations around. Ply the sickle, for the harvest is ripe; come and tread, for the winepress is full; the vats are overflowing, so great is their wickedness!" Multitude on multitude in the Valley of Decision! For the Day of Yahweh is near in the Valley of the Verdict! Sun and moon grow dark, the stars lose their brilliance. Yahweh roars from Zion, he thunders from Jerusalem; heaven and earth tremble. But Yahweh will be a shelter for his people, a stronghold for the Israelites. "Then you will know that I am Yahweh your God residing on Zion, my holy mountain. Jerusalem will then be a sanctuary, no foreigners will overrun it ever again." When that Day comes, the mountains will run with new wine and the hills will flow with milk, and all the stream-beds of Judah will run with water. A fountain will spring from Yahweh´s Temple and water the Gorge of the Acacias. Egypt will become a desolation, and Edom a desert waste on account of the violence done to the children of Judah whose innocent blood they shed in their country. But Judah will be inhabited forever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation! "I shall avenge their blood and let none go unpunished," and Yahweh will dwell in Zion.
Daily Psalm for Saturday.
Responsorial Psalm is taken from the Book of Psalm (96)97:1-2.5-6.11-12: "Rejoice in the Lord, you just!" (R).
- The LORD is king; let the earth rejoice; let the many isles be glad. Clouds and darkness are round about him, justice and judgment are the foundation of his throne. (R).
- The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the LORD of all the earth. The heavens proclaim his justice, and all peoples see his glory. (R).
- Light dawns for the just; and gladness, for the upright of heart. Be glad in the LORD, you just, and give thanks to his holy name. (R).
Daily Gospel Acclamation.
"Alleluia, alleluia. Blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it. Alleluia, alleluia" (Daily readings for today extracted of Luke 11:28)
Daily Gospel - Luke 11:27-28.
Catholic Daily readings for Saturday, Gospel for October 9 (Blessed is the womb that carried you. Rather, blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it.): At that time, while Jesus was speaking, a woman from the crowd called out and said to him, "Blessed is the womb that carried you and the breasts at which you nursed." He replied, "Rather, blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it."
Catholic Daily Readings reflection, by Pope Francis.
"As mother of all, Mary is a sign of hope." Pope Francis.
About the prayer spoken to you in the daily Readings, Christ leads us to Mary. He leads us to her because he does not want us to walk without a mother, and the people read in this maternal image all the mysteries of the Gospel. The Lord is not pleased that his Church lacks a feminine icon. She, who begot him with so much faith, also accompanies "the rest of his children, those who keep the commandments of God and maintain the testimony of Jesus" (Rev 12:17).
The intimate connection between Mary, the Church and each of the faithful, inasmuch as in various ways they beget Christ, has been beautifully expressed by Blessed Isaac of Stella: "In the divinely inspired Scriptures, what is understood in general of the Church, virgin and mother, is understood in particular of the Virgin Mary (...) It can also be said that every faithful soul is the spouse of the Word of God, mother of Christ, daughter and sister, virgin and fruitful mother (...) Christ remained nine months in Mary´s womb; he will remain in the tabernacle of the Church´s faith until the consummation of the ages; and in the knowledge and love of the faithful soul for ever and ever".
Mary is the one who knows how to transform a cave of animals into the house of Jesus, with a few poor swaddling clothes and a mountain of tenderness. She is the little handmaid of the Father who trembles in praise. She is the friend who is always attentive so that there is no lack of wine in our lives. She is the one whose heart is opened by the sword, who understands all sorrows. As mother of all, she is the sign of hope for the people who suffer the pains of childbirth until justice emerges. She is the missionary who comes to us to accompany us through life, opening hearts to faith with her motherly affection. Like a true mother, she walks with us, struggles with us, and unceasingly pours out the closeness of God´s love. (Daily Readings reflection, Evangelii Gaudium).
Daily Prayer for the Gospel.
Lord, everything good in me comes from you. But, all the bad actions, hurtful words and the harm I have caused, have been homegrown, the fruit of a life without You. To rid myself of all those bad inclinations, I must know You better, love You and feel You in Your Word. It is of no use for me to know your work by heart, if I do not put into practice what you tell me. Help me to be like Mary, to keep and meditate each thing of yours in my heart. Make of me a new creature. I love you. Amen. (Healing with the serenity prayer for Catholic Daily Readings and Holy Gospel - Qriswell Quero @Copyright 2021)
The Pope´s daily quotation.
To all the men and women of the world, I address my appeal to walk together towards an ever greater "we", to recompose the human family, to build together our future of justice and peace, ensuring that no one is excluded. Pope Francis.
Today, there are many people who find themselves immersed in the terrible evil of depression. Let us pray for them that Mary, our consoler in afflictions, may accompany these people to the encounter with God.
