Pray the daily prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus for June 12. Daily Devotion to the Dying Heart for the End of Violence
In many Catholic homes, one of the most popular images of Our Lord is the image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. It is the image of God´s love revealed in the pierced heart of His Son. It is the symbol of a love that overcomes sin and transcends death, the symbol of the One who loved us to the end. For the prayer of June 12, we want to invite you to join this loving Heart and to ask God for the end of violence.
Devotion for June, 12th
Love has always been associated with the heart, so it was natural for God´s love to be represented in one heart, the heart of his Son Jesus. In it, God the Father revealed his infinite love for us. On the Friday after the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
The Church had her first birth in the pierced heart of Jesus on the cross.
Daily Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
In the daily prayer for June 12 we pray for an end to violence, especially violence against children.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, today I want to bring Your Presence to the VIOLENCE of the world. Send your light and your truth, O Lord of all that is good. Bring to light those works of darkness and let the plans of violence, abuse, crime and murder throughout the world be revealed and fail.
By the power of your Holy Spirit, rebuke all those who have allowed their minds and hearts to be dominated by evil. Lead them, O Lord, to true repentance so that they may receive new life and feel a radical change in their lives through your forgiving love.
In the midst of all the evil, violence and divisions, Christians are called to be ambassadors of reconciliation. In the midst of the pain and suffering that violence causes, we are called to be ambassadors of healing.
We ask you to protect children, the most vulnerable. Protect them from the injustices and acts of violence that they face every day. We call on you to enable these children to experience your love as they experience lives restored in all their fullness. We pray for children who are suffering from violence. We pray for those who have been trafficked and sold, for those caught in oppressive jobs and abusive relationships, and for those who are in the process of healing and recovery.
We unite our prayer for reconciliation, for the healing of so many wounds caused through violence. Jesus Christ, our Lord, through your Sacred Heart, hear us. Amen.

"You, Lord, listen to the desires of the poor, comfort them and give them your attention. You do justice to the orphan and the oppressed: let not man made of earth inflict more violence". (Psalm 10:17-18)
