Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Daily prayer for June 29

Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus began at the Last Supper. As Our Lord sat at the Easter table, before pronouncing those sacred words that would become the center of all our faith, at the very heart of the Church, his beloved disciple, St. John the Evangelist, laid his head on Our Lord´s breast. He placed his head on the Heart of Jesus Christ and remained there in repose. Imitating this act, we should also, each one of us, rest our heads on the Heart of Jesus, for there we will find the consolations never imagined for our troubled lives. In the daily prayer for June 29, we will pray to God for perseverance in our lives.

Daily Devotion for June, 29.

Through the visions of St. Margaret Mary, Christ came to remind us how much love he has given to the world and continues to do so today. He ardently desires that we practice this devotion to His Sacred Heart, which is designed to focus our attention on the love He has for us and to repair all the faults He has suffered from our indifference.

To the Sacred Heart of Jesus...

Sacred Heart wants to bring within you a healthy and cleansing healing process. Open your heart and receive that grace. In the daily prayer for June 29, we pray to God for the grace to be persevering.

Father of love, I want to confess to you now that there are so many weaknesses in my tired, wounded and fatigued body due to so many frustrations, worries, failures, dreams to be fulfilled, that I feel I am losing the strength to continue. I come before you with all this, with these laments and afflictions, so that you may bring a total purification to my life and help me to rest in your humble heart so that I will never give up.

Hail to me, Lord. Give me the grace to be persevering, to remain strong in trials so that I may lose my fear forever and continue towards those triumphs You have planned for me, united to You and to Your Sacred Heart.

Your heart is peaceful, full of love and life, unlike mine which is full of wounds. But I trust that, through your grace, you will repair it, restore it and make it new, for you want to make me precious, I only have to open myself to the experience of your presence. Amen.

So many things I have asked of You, O Sacred Heart of Jesus, but this I implore of You, I ask it earnestly. Take it, place it in your open Heart, present it to the Father wrapped in your precious blood. Let it no longer be my prayer, but yours. Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you. I know I won´t be disappointed. Amen.
