10 messages from Our Lady of Fatima that reveal the mystery of God

Our Lady of Fatima, also known as Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, is venerated in almost all regions of the world and she left us some surprising messages that reveal the mystery of God.

This title given to the Virgin Mary, as the Virgin of Fatima, corresponds to the Marian apparitions reported in 1917 by three shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal. The three children were Lúcia dos Santos and her cousins Jacinta and Francisco Marto.

The story of her apparition to the three little shepherds in the region of Fatima, Portugal, was one of the most exciting and seen by an entire people, and this made her devotion spread very quickly.

Before Our Lady´s apparitions in Fatima, there were first three apparitions of an Angel who identified himself as the Angel of Peace of Portugal, and it was he who prepared the children for the great messages of God´s revelations which the Blessed Virgin Mary had prepared for them.

Apparition of Our Lady of Fatima.

On May 13, 1917, the three children: Lucia dos Santos, Jacinta and Francisco Marto, were grazing in the hills, when on a small oak tree, a brightness appears after a flash of lightning, and a figure of a Lady dressed in white, brighter than the sun, shining more clearly and intensely than a crystal glass full of crystalline water, pierced by the most ardent rays of the sun.

The apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima were six in all, during six consecutive months, and took place from May 13 to October 13, 1917

1. "Do you want to offer to God to bear all the sufferings that He would like to send you as reparation for the sins by which He is offended and to beg for the conversion of sinners? (13th May 1917)

To prevent this, I will come to ask for the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart and the communion of reparation on the first Saturdays. If my wishes are heeded, Russia will be converted and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, promoting wars and persecutions of the Church: the good will be martyred; the Holy Father will have to suffer much; various nations will be annihilated. Messages from Fatima for our lives.

In the revealed messages of Our Lady of Fatima, She speaks to us of our responsibilities through prayer and love. Do you love the members of her family enough to care about their eternal salvation? This is truly our essential and indispensable Christian role in the family.

Do you live next door, look at them on the bus, but take time to get to know them? Do you pray for their salvation? Do you pray for your community? Do you make sacrifices and take time to pray for the needs of others?

The message of Our Lady of Fatima calls us to a renewed fidelity to penance and prayer. We must take a step forward. Now is the time to do so, in this time of mercy.

Prayer to Our Lady of Fatima.

Dear Lord Jesus, I want to give you everything I have, to offer you my life as an act of service. I want to help save souls with my humble and loving prayers, sacrifices, penance and actions.

Dear Lady of Fatima, open my heart, my eyes and my ears to see the needs around me. Please pray for me and grant me the graces I need.

St. Joseph, Custodian of the Holy Family, help me to protect mine as You protected Your family.

O Virgin of Fatima, help me to tell God with all my heart: "I believe, I hope, I adore You and I love You, I ask Your forgiveness for those who do not believe, do not hope, do not adore You and do not love You.

Angels of peace and all the saints in heaven, pray for me.

O kind and good Mother, whose very soul was pierced by the sword of pain, look at us as, in our sickness, we stand beside you on Calvary where your Jesus hangs.

Gifted with the high grace of suffering, and in the hope of fulfilling in our own flesh what is lacking in our participation in Christ´s passion, in the name of his Mystical Body, the Church, we consecrate ourselves to you and all our pain.

We pray that you will place them on that Altar of the Cross on which Jesus is nailed. May they be little victims of the propitiation for our salvation, for the salvation of all peoples.

O Mother of Sorrows, accept this consecration. Strengthen our hearts in hope that, as participants in Christ´s sufferings, we too can share his joys now and forever. Amen
